My Journey

I have always been a Writer at heart but for many seasons, I had stopped writing creatively all together; because in order for me to write artistically, meant feeling things deeply. In my late 20’s, I considered “feeling things deeply” a weakness so I endured a long self-imposed famine of not creating. Now that I am older and a slight touch wiser, I have discerned that it’s a God-given gift to feel things deeply so long as you have the spiritual and emotional maturity to rightly process those feelings… so now my writing journey continues.

Inspiration

I find inspiration through my faith journey, profound moments rooted in joy, pain, or deep emotion, and random encounters orchestrated by God that inspires my soul.

Purpose

Through my poetry, prose, and reflections, it is my prayer that through this gift from God that I leave a positive mark upon your life. By way of pen and virtual ink, I pray my writings are virtuous enough to earn your trust and permission to empathize with you deeply in your secret place – that part buried within your soul that hides heartbreak, disappointment, fear, rejection and lost dreams. My goal once I’m there, is to inspire you to heal, remind you of your God-given purpose, and encourage you dear friend to be all that I know God has created you to be.
