A goodbye to all he’s known.
Seeking brighter tomorrows.
Gambling for better unknowns.
Across land and sea fought he
Through hunger, darkness and cold.
Clinging strongly through his faith.
Forever remaining bold.
Across land and sea came he.
Forced to tarry for some time.
Till prayers became answered.
Doors unlocked in God’s time.
Across land and sea stayed he.
Laboring hard every day.
Blessing his dear family.
Their future he fights to pay.
Across land and sea braved he.
Envisioning what some don’t.
Opportunity still abounds.
